Chairman of the Indonesian Unity Party (Perindo) DPP Hary Tanoesoedibjo met with Golkar Party Chair Airlangga Hartarto and former Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti to discuss several things, including the 2024 election.
"The meeting discussed the 2024 General Election, nationality, unity, brotherhood and friendship with Pak Airlangga Hartarto and Bu Susi Pudjiastuti," said Hary Tanoesoedibjo in Jakarta, Tuesday.
It is also said that the meeting is scheduled to continue, not only the meeting on Tuesday (23/8).
"There will be a follow-up that might be very good, of course, for the 2024 election," said HT.
Meanwhile, Airlangga Hartarto expressed his gratitude for having lunch with HT and Susi Pudjiastuti.
It was also stated that the meeting was motivated by friendship regarding nationality.
"We had a delicious lunch with Mr. Hary and Mrs. Susi, which of course had a good atmosphere. So, many things were discussed, apart from talking about our friendship, we also talked about nationality," said Airlangga.
Later, said Airlangga, after the meeting, there will be further processes that will be carried out by the three parties.
"It will be processed later because Pak Hary is already a secretary (the joint secretariat), then Ibu Susi has many followers. Politically, followers must be accommodated. The forum is called a political party," he said.
Airlangga also expressed his joy after the meeting. This is because it gains new strength for the parties and their coalitions in the face of the 2024 General Election.
"I am happy because there will be reinforcements against Golkar and KIB (United Indonesia Coalition)," said Airlangga.
On that occasion, Airlangga advised all parties to stick to three main things to avoid polarization like the previous election.
"Unity, brotherhood, and friendship," said Airlangga.
Meanwhile, Susi Pudjiastuti admitted that she did not know how to do politics in the real world. However, he will continue to monitor developments in the 2024 General Election and focus on playing his role on social media.
