SIJUNJUNG – The arrest of online bookies code 303 has become increasingly widespread by the police since Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was named a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier Joshua Hutabarat.
Recently, the police arrested 7 online bookies with code 303 in Sinjunjung Regency, West Sumatra.

The arrest of bookie 303 was carried out by the ranks of the Sijunjung Police on Tuesday (16/8) or the day before the celebration of the 77th Indonesian Independence Day.

Sijunjung Police Chief, AKBP Muhammad Ikhwan Lazuardi accompanied by Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Abdul Kadir Jailani and Head of Public Relations Subdivision of AKP Nasrul Ajo said that apart from bookies, his party also arrested several gamblers.
"All the gamblers who were arrested were 12 people, seven people were dealers, one was a non-online gambler and the rest were gamblers," said AKBP Muhammad Ikhwan Blue.
Blue explained that the 12 suspects were suspected of practicing online with the code 303.
According to Blue, 12 suspects in the online gambling crime code 303 were arrested in different places.
They were arrested in four sub-districts, namely Kamangbaru District (5 suspects), Koto VII District (5 suspects), Lubuktarok District (1 suspect), and Sijunjung District (1 suspect).
Blue said the suspects were charged with Article 303 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 10 years in prison.
"In article 303 it states that a person or group of people who have been proven to have practiced gambling are threatened with 10 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 25 million," said Blue.
He explained that one suspect was the head of the jorong. The person is suspected of being suspected of non-line gambling.
The police secured a number of evidence from the suspect's hands in the form of money, cellphones, savings books and several ATM cards.
Previously, the Sinjungjung Police also managed to round up an ASN person in the Satpol PP who was suspected of being a bookie.

Police Criminal Investigation Response
The Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has arrested six suspects in the online gambling case.
The Head of Sub-Directorate I of the Criminal Investigation Division of the National Police, Kombes Pol Reinhard Hutagaol, said the suspects ran an online gambling business on five websites with eight types of gambling.
"Bareskrim Polri has arrested the organizers of eight types of online gambling and five gambling websites," said Reinhard to reporters, Monday (15/8).
The five gambling websites are Kingkoi88, Winlab88, Goldmain, Bsbox, and Senarbet.
According to Reinhard, the suspects were arrested in an apartment in the North Jakarta area on Saturday (13/8). Two of the eight suspects are women.
“The arrests of six men and two women,” explained Reinhard.
Based on the results of the initial investigation, the suspects have different roles. There are those who act as customer service to marketing.
