The chairman of the NasDem Party DPP, Willy Aditya, said that his party did not rule out a coalition with the PDI-P in the 2024 presidential election. According to him, NasDem did not have any problems with other parties.
This was conveyed by Willy regarding the arrival of PDIP DPP Chair Puan Maharani to the NasDem Tower to meet the General Chair of the NasDem Party DPP Surya Paloh, Monday (22/8/2022).
"It is possible. NasDem does not have a handicap with any party," said Willy.
He emphasized that NasDem did not have any problems with other parties to form a coalition. As far as the agreement and understanding that is built in the coalition later must be formed together.
"Well, that later became a collective decision that we went through, so this meeting was good, very good, if you want to be productive, it is very productive for what? Because how is the process of building a national narrative of togetherness narrative, between these two major axes that are mutually exclusive? the same as nationalist lines," he explained.
Meanwhile, Willy also said that in exploring the coalition, NasDem is still communicating with other political parties.
According to him, at the end of the year, there will be a decision by NasDem to form a coalition with which political party.
"Keep going, Nasdem. Even with Gerindra, we are going, with PKB we are going. Democrats, PKS are going. We will do everything, and God willing, we will see at the end of the year, how there will be a decision, there is clarity, if there is certainty about the presidential candidate and the supporting coalition," he added.
For information, PDIP DPP Chair Puan Maharani officially visited the NasDem Party DPP Office or NasDem Tower, Central Jakarta, Monday (22/8/2022) to hold a meeting with NasDem Party DPP General Chair Surya Paloh.
Based on observation at the location, Puan arrived at the NasDem Tower at 11.00 WIB. He was seen wearing an all black outfit with a PDIP signature red mask.
Puan's arrival was accompanied by high-ranking PDIP officials such as the Secretary General of the PDIP DPP Hasto Kristiyanto, PDIP General Treasurer Olly Dondokambey, the DPP Chair for the PDIP Election Winning Division, Bambang Wuryanto, as well as other PDIP politicians Alex Indra Lukman, to Charles Honoris.
As for the NasDem party who made the welcome, namely the Secretary General of the NasDem Party Johnny G Plate, Deputy Chairperson of the NasDem Party Ahmad Ali, Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI NasDem faction, Rahmat Gobel, Deputy Chairman of the RI MPR NasDem faction Lestari Moerdijat to the Chairman of the NasDem Party DPP Willy Aditya.
After being greeted, Puan immediately entered the NasDem Tower Building to directly meet Surya Paloh in his room. Puan was seen taking the time to greet the media crew by waving and smiling.
