Research Director of the Independent Survey Institute Fathur Rahman said the electability of the NasDem Party would increase if it nominates the pair Anies Baswedan and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyomo (AHY) in the 2024 election.
"The increase in the electability of the Nasdem Party after the announcement of the presidential candidate Anies Baswedan and the strengthening of the Nasdem Party, PKS and Democrat coalition that carries the pair Anies and AHY," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.
The increase in the electability of the Nasdem Party occurred after announcing its presidential candidates namely DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Ganjar Pranowo and Andika Perkasa through the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) which was attended by President Joko Widodo, as well as issues that further strengthened the "installation" of Anies Baswedan with Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono who supported by the Nasdem Party, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the Democratic Party.
The Independent Survey Institute survey was conducted on August 8-20 2022, involving 1,500 Indonesian citizens (WNI) respondents who have the right to vote in 34 provinces. The survey method was conducted by interviewing through a cellular network with a margin of error of 3.05 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
It is known, the results of the electability survey of political parties in the first position are still occupied by PDI-P with 18.8 percent, the second Gerindra Party at 11.9 percent, the third Democratic Party 11.8 percent, the fourth NasDem 8.7 percent, the fifth PKS 7.2 percent, the sixth Golkar Party 7.0 percent, the seventh PKB 5.9 percent, the eight PAN 2.7 percent, and the nine PPP 2.4 percent.
Meanwhile, non-parliamentary parties only got 0 to 1 percent of the vote, and those that had not yet made a choice were 19.1 percent of the vote.
In addition, the Anies-AHY pair simulation survey has a stronger electability than other pairs.
In the simulation of three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates, Anies-AHY still has the advantage with an electability of 35.9 percent; while in second place were Prabowo Subianto-Puan Maharani with 27.6 percent, and Ganjar Pranowo-Erick Thohir with 16.4 percent.
Meanwhile, in the simulation of two pairs, Anies-AHY won 39.8 percent and was ahead of Prabowo Subianto-Puan Maharani who got 31.4 percent.
